Quality Improvement helps public health departments have more impact on community health.
With ongoing efforts to receive accreditation status from the Public Health Accreditation Board (PHAB), public health departments have more motivation than ever before to begin and sustain their efforts to be better health departments. And the entire community benefits from a better public health department!
Health Promotion Strategies (HPS) is excited to announce that a successful quality improvement project led by Carol Ryan, HPS’s Director, has been published on the Public Health Quality Improvement Exchange website : Improving School Entry Immunization Rates in a Rural New York County
This posting on PHQIX tells about a successful immunization QI project while Carol was the Public Health Director at Sullivan County Public Health Services.
Carol successfully applied for grant funding to carry out this project from the National Network of Public Health Institutes (NNPHI). Working with a dedicated team, this effort raised the school entry immunization rates.
